Plan Analytics
Every plan has its own analytics sheet showing how that plan is performing — how much revenue it generates, how many customers are on it, and how heavily they use it.
Opening Plan Analytics
- Navigate to Plans in the sidebar.
- Click any plan to open its detail sheet.
The figures fill the right-hand side of the sheet, under Plan Performance.
Analytics data is refreshed every 15 minutes from your billing engine.
By default these figures cover every subscriber on the plan, and the sheet says so above the cards. Opened from a customer's page, it offers a second scope; see below.
Scoping the figures to one customer
Open the sheet from a customer's page, by clicking the plan name in their Plan card, and a control appears above the figures with two positions:
- All subscribers: the plan as a whole. This is the default.
- This customer: the same metrics restricted to that one customer.
The sentence under the heading always states which of the two you are looking at, so the numbers cannot be misread. Your choice is remembered, and you can clear it from Saved preferences in your profile.
Two things change in customer scope:
- Subscribers disappears. One customer does not have subscribers.
- The sheet may note that the figures were recorded against a different plan. That is normal for a customer on a free trial: their plan card links to the paid plan they will convert to, while their usage is recorded against the trial product they hold today.
The control does not appear on the Product Catalog or on the Customers list, because neither has a customer in view.
KPI Cards
Three cards summarise the plan's performance:
Run Rate (30d)
Total revenue generated by customers on this plan over the last 30 days. This includes both subscription fees and usage charges from customers assigned to this plan.
The second figure, Most Recent Day, is the total for the latest day that recorded any activity, which on a quiet plan may be some days ago rather than yesterday.
Subscribers (now)
The number of active customers on this plan, counted when the figures were last computed. It is a headcount, not a total over a window.
Events
The number of usage events attributed to this plan's customers, over the last 30 days and on the most recent day with activity. A proxy for usage volume. A subscription fee counts toward the run rate, not here, so a day that held only a fee shows zero events.
Service Usage Chart
A daily chart showing measured service consumption by customers on this plan. Each service the plan includes with non-zero usage appears as a separate line, in alphabetical order. A service a customer used on a previous plan, or one removed from this plan, is not shown, although its charges still count toward the run rate.
The y-axis shows the raw quantity (e.g. number of tokens, API calls, gigabytes — whatever the service measures). Hover over any data point for the exact value.
Only services with recorded usage quantities appear. If all charges on a plan are flat subscription fees with no measurable quantity, this chart will be empty.
Revenue & Margin Chart (Last 4 Weeks)
A weekly bar chart showing revenue and gross margin for the last 4 ISO weeks. Useful for spotting week-over-week trends without the noise of the daily view.
- Revenue — total charges from plan customers that week
- Margin — revenue minus cost (based on billing engine cost data)
If the plan has fewer than 4 weeks of data, only the available weeks are shown.
No Data State
If a plan has no customers or no billing activity in the selected window, the KPI cards show zeros and the charts are empty. The plan still appears — it is not hidden.
